Description
Origin: Picked in Spring 2020 in Anxi China.
This tea comes from the Anxi County in Fujian China, which is known for producing the very best Tie Guan Yin. This style of Tie Guan Yin which is well loved for it’s intensely floral notes.
Dry Leaf – Eyes: Compact pearls, deep green in colour.
Wet Leaf – Nose: A very promising nose of white flower bouquets. Exotic hints of coconut, sago and mountain air.
Taste – Mouth: Keeps it’s promise of white flower bouquets. Green apples, with a coconut & sago pudding creaminess. Trails off into a light sweet vegetable broth.
Texture – Mouth: Medium thickness with a good length in the mouth.
Liquor – Eyes: Light golden green.
Tea Qi
Strong uplifting energetic sensations particularly in the head-space. A sense of cleanliness, refinement & purity.
Brewing Suggestions
We prefer to brew this tea Gong Fu style. You can use the brewing guide below as a good starting point. To experiment we recommend keeping the water temperature as constant as possible but varying steeping time to suit your tastes.
Gong Fu Cha: 3g per 90ml of water. Water temperature 99 C. First steeping 25 seconds. Each subsequent steeping + 5 seconds.
